Chocolate Covered Caramelized Hazelnuts

The team at French Broad Chocolates in Asheville, North Carolina have been turning cacao beans into chocolate in Asheville, North Carolina since the late aughts. I’m embarrassed it’s taken us this long to find them—especially after tasting these hazelnuts. 

They put as much effort into sourcing the nuts as they do their cacao and it shows. The perfectly caramelized hazelnuts are enrobed in layer upon layer of milk chocolate creating a smooth yet crunchy confluence of flavors you can devour in a quarter hour.

These are one of those “hide ‘em or they’ll get eaten” type of treats.
