Candied Pineapple

This is my kind of treat: sweet, bright, and it makes my mouth buzz in a good way. Yep. I love candied fruits, especially these pineapple slices from Savor Fine Foods. The pineapple flavor really shines through. Unlike fresh pineapple, however, these slices are always sweet, never woody or prickly, and linger long after each bite… and I’ve been taking a lot of bites so I speak from experience.

It’s easy to say “just eat ‘em as is” but there are lots more uses. Try chopping the slices up and and adding to baked goods or tossing in salads. You could even feature them on a cheese and charcuterie board. Folks would go ga-ga for that.
