Effie's Oatcakes

Effie's makes great crackers. We've been carrying their Crispy Corn Biscuits and Walnut Cranberry Biscuits for years, and it's about time we let a third flavor get its time in the spotlight. These oatcakes are a staple in my pantry for the moment I need a quick nibble, or when I want to put together an impressive cheese spread in a flash.

They're sort of in between a cookie and a cracker: a touch sweet, a hint salty, with a crispy, oat-y texture that crumbles in your mouth. They're equally great with a gooey, soft cheese, an aged cheddar, or alongside a handful of dried fruit.
